POSTION SUMMARY

The Senior Manager/ Associate Director Inventory Planner & Reporting will be responsible for developing comprehensive supply plans, reconciling supply and demand, creating production schedules, optimizing inventory management, reconciling all inventory movements for all products across Mirum’s end-to-end commercial supply chain, and support SOX reporting.  Collaboration with internal and external partners, including the global commercial supply chain market leads, CMOs/CPOs/3PLs, and will be instrumental in successfully developing a global supply plan that supports market demand and drives supply chain efficiency.

JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop SOP and execute tracking of all commercial inventory movements, initially manually (e.g., Excel) and eventually in an automated system (Rapid Response).
  • Work closely with CMOs, CPOs, and 3PLs for all Mirum’s products to access primary data sources data and analyze inventory movements across the end-to-end global supply chain.
  • Collaborate with external parties (CMOs / CPOs / 3PLs) and internal stakeholders (commercial, finance, CMC, quality) on monthly inventory reporting and reconciliation.
  • Work closely with QA to ensure alignment with release documentation and QA lot genealogy tracking.
  • Collaborate with Accounting to support inventory accounting and SOX tests/reporting.
  • Monitor inventory remaining shelf-life and develop supply plans that mitigate/minimize E&O (excess & obsolescence).
  • Responsible for tracking inventory levels and generating reports to provide insights into inventory performance and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Schedule international and domestic shipments with approved (qualified) carriers and brokers.
  • Assist in continuous improvement of logistics processes and procedures.
  • Oversee all logistics activities and shipment reports for accuracy and manage temperature excursions in partnership with Quality.
  • Ensure all legal and necessary requirements are met for international shipments involving both Customs and Regulatory agencies.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as Supply Chain and Logistics
  • 5 years of supply chain experience specifically managing commercial products
  • Life Science industry, commercial supply chain experience is a requirement
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain concepts, inventory management, and supply planning methodologies in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze supply chain data, identify trends, and make informed decisions to optimize supply chain planning performance.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate with cross-functional teams and with CMOs / CPOs / 3PLs
  • Experience with supply planning tools and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.  Accuracy is KEY
  • Proactive problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving continuous improvement and mitigating supply chain planning risks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel
  • Travel estimate: 10% of the time

  • Proven ability to manage end-to-end planning in a virtual manufacturing environment – i.e.: with CMOs, CPOs, and 3PLs
