As Sr. Manager, Accounting, you’ll work closely with the Controller to lead many aspects of accounting management for our US and Canadian entities, assist in the formulation of internal controls and policies and assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with official guidelines and requirements. You will utilize your existing accounting skills and knowledge, learn new skills, and play a key role in guiding the growth of the accounting department.

  • Prepare monthly accruals for non-clinical, medical affairs, consulting, and general administrative accruals.
  • Responsible for cash and investments reconciliations.
  • Account for intangibles, prepaid assets, and leases.
  • Oversee the monthly close process including account reconciliations.
  • Perform quarterly flux analysis for balance sheet and income statement accounts.
  • Prepare SEC footnote schedules as needed.
  • Prepare intercompany invoicing and journal entries.
  • Ensure internal controls are adhered to and documented at a SOX 404(b) level.
  • Facilitate external audit reporting and prepare the auditors PBC schedules.
  • Maintain accounting and reporting policies.
  • Initiate and drive process improvements for greater accuracy, financial control, and efficiency.
  • Assist with internal controls and monitor various corporate accounting policies and procedures.
  • Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to participating in special projects, system improvements or ad hoc analyses/projects as assigned.
  • Lead or support the accounting team's ad-hoc projects and analyses.



  • Strong US GAAP and compliance experience – biotech industry, public company application
  • Minimum 8 years of related accounting experience including 3-4 years of supervisory experience of a team with increasing responsibilities.
  • Hands-on experience in managing general ledger related functions, including familiarity with accounting software such as NetSuite or similar.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting.
  • CPA required (inactive OK).
