LEADERSHIP

Doug Sheehy joined Mirum as chief legal officer in May 2025. Doug joined Mirum from Sonoma Biotherapeutics, Inc. where he served as chief legal officer and secretary, with responsibility for legal, human resources, quality and regulatory functions. Prior to Sonoma, he was general counsel and secretary at Aimmune Therapeutics, Inc. until its acquisition by Nestle Health Science. Before Aimmune, he served in similar roles in legal at Codexis, Inc. and CV Therapeutics, Inc. He began his career as a corporate and securities lawyer in Silicon Valley representing emerging growth companies and venture funds at Gunderson Dettmer.  

Doug received an A.B. in History from Dartmouth College and a J.D. from American University’s Washington College of Law, where he was Editor-in-Chief of the American University Law Review.
